We are currently looking for responsible, reliable volunteer research assistants (RAs) who would like to gain experience conducting forensic psychology research. RAs will be trained to undertake various research activities, including (1) developing stimuli and research protocols, (2) pilot testing, (3) recruiting participants, (4) administering language assessments, (5) conducting fact-finding interviews, (6) recording and editing video stimuli, (7) administering lie detection tests, (8) coding cues to deception, and (9) entering and analyzing data. RAs may also be invited to assist with literature reviews, ethics applications, and research presentations.
RAs will be mentored by the lab director and current graduate students. In return, RAs will be expected to attend regular lab meetings and commit a minimum of 5 hours per week to volunteering in the Leach Lab for two consecutive semesters.
